Mesenchymal stem cells seeded on electrospun polycaprolactone nanofibers.

Advanced Topics: Viral Pathogenesis

This course provides lectures in a particular virus that expand the basic biology of the virus life cycle to the level of virus-host interactions.  Pathogenic properties of select viruses are outlined from the perspective of disease manifestations, immunology, and the natural history of infection.  Lectures will also address the molecular basis of viral pathogenesis and current advances in therapeutic strategies. Lecture/paper discussion format. Molecular Virology (or equivalent) required. Fall semesters.
